Westville Hindu School ethos is based on three pillars:

With the rapid advances in Information Technology and Social Media, education faces the challenge of using these valuable life skills for the enrichment and not denigration of the quality of life.
Whilst excellence in academia is paramount, learning to sing and dance helps us enjoy life and sport teaches us to take winning and losing in our stride.
Westville Hindu School ensures its academic excellence by using external checks like the ANA assessments conducted by the KZN Department of Education and Olympiads e.g. Conquesta. We participate in swimming galas and other sport codes. Our sports programme includes our Annual School Sports. Besides writing the exam of national bodies like the Hindi Shiksha Sangh and participating in Eisteddfods, the learners follow a graded syllabus in Dance, Music and Yoga and Graduate at 3 levels. The Computer Room and Science Laboratory are resources that give credence to the mission and vision of the school.
The morning Yoga and Annual School Concert add to the Cultural values that we instil in our learners. Our educational programme also fosters respect, discipline, family and human values.
